Repositories required to have a clean update for CentOS 6.8

I'm concerned that all the repositories required to have a clean YUM UPDATE run aren't include as listed below. Could and 'extras repository' be missing as I'm having issues upgrading CLAMAV?

[root@centos-64bit xxxxxxxx]# yum update perl
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, refresh-packagekit, security
Setting up Update Process
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
* base:
* centosplus:
* contrib:
* epel:
* extras:
* rpmforge:
