phpmyadmin

hi all,

even on the localhost i cant access the web server for phpmyadmin and i dont know why, i get a "403 forbidden error"

i think my config file looks ok

any help much appreciated

how did the package get there? Repo? because...I use phpmyadmin as a workhorse, I never had trouble...
What password did you use to log in? Is that the same you have set at setup?

im using the yum install package and not the package they list on there website, do you think thats what is causing it

i have set my sql admin password but i havnt got to that stage yet as i cant access the web server to input the password

i needed to install php but i would have thought phpmyadmin would have installed that anyway as it did install php-mysql and obviously you need to install mysql-server and give root a password

mysqladmin -u root password 'password'

also fogot to mention you have to edit this config file aswell -

vi /etc/phpmyadmin/config.inc.php

authentication method change from cookie or config to http
