Mount and use host dvd drive from Centos

HI,

I have installed CentOS7 on VirtualBox and VMware.
I am trying to Mount to be able to read from the host dvd drive?
Any tutorial please I am getting very frustrated
I have managed to create a dir then mount the directory but when I try to read the data on the dvd drive and don't see anything.

Simple tutorial would be awesome.

you need to open your vbox main window to get to your selected VBox install then go int settings and then add a dvd "port" to your ata. Just like you had it there when you installed it in the first place. that area. add a dvd/cd if it is not there.

here these have pictures. Might be easier then me trying to remember what everything is called and trying to give you step by step.

Welcome to LinuxQuestions.

In both applications you need to enable passthrough for the DVD drive.
