Kernel update stalled - mkinitrd failed

trying to install new kernel on CentOS 6.10 and it hang at the installing step
I have tried various versions of kernel and it same for all of them

Code:

Running Transaction
Warning: RPMDB altered outside of yum.
  Installing : kernel-2.6.32-754.17.1.el6.x86_64 1/1
same if I use yum install or if I try to install from rpm package of kernel
when I cancel the job I see this error

Code:
