CentOS configuration of upstream package

Hello,

So.. we know CentOS (and some distributions) compile packages provided by upstream to fit the requirements of the distribution. This solves distribution-specifics such as directory structure (compare httpd on CentOS against apache2 on Ubuntu). I'm insterested to know if there's a way I can get the configure parameters (hopefully I got the right term) used by the CentOS when building packages.

As a specific example, I'd like to know how centos compiled httpd, with parameters such as PREFIX. Of course for the kernel, it's in /boot/config-`uname -r` but how about the other packages?

Thanks.

You can go to

https://cbs.centos.org/koji/

Type name of your package and look for the build logs.

You cannot get that info from the rpm itself. You an query info and where what installs ec because that is in the metadata, but the actual options from source to package, you need to look at the above website.
