CentOS 7 default volume group

Hello,
when a new CentOS 7 installation is finished, I can see one default volume group had been created. Command "vgdisplay" - VG Name: "centos". I guess somewhere in CentOS ISO or rpm package is a configuration file where volume group is defined? In which file? Do you know the exact location? Thank you.

I do not know which file, but you can certainly change this during install, or if you are doing automated install, you can change this in your kickstart file...

By changing the files in ISO means you have extract, change, then rebuild the install ISO...
Then, lets say a new version comes out, you have to repeat this process.

I know how to open ISO, edit squashfs.img and generate ISO by genisoimage. When CentOS is installed, there is "anaconda-ks.cfg" file in /root, where the volume group is specified. But I don't see this file (or any similar file) in ISO.

Is kickstart file only for automated install?

Where are specified default values of for example Manual partitioning? Or any default values? In the installation wizard, the default volume group is "cl". Yes, I can change it. If I don't change it, after the installation finish, I start the installation again and select "/" partition, I can see the volume group "centos".

Apologies, I am unclear on what exactly you want to accomplish?
You can specify kickstart file during manual install, here is the doc:
https://docs.centos.org/en-US/centos...de/Kickstart2/

If you want (or if that helps) I can give you disk partition info from my KS file. I do not use LVM however for personal computer - I do use LVM on the servers...

1) Sorry for the confusion, I forget "volume group" is set in the Installation wizard. For some reason, a pre-filled volume group is "cl" instead of "centos".
2) I do not even know, if Kickstarter and Anaconda are 2 separated tools. What I know at least Anaconda generates Kickstarter file. But what I want: when anybody will start Anaconda installation wizard, instead of pre-filled values as "cl" or "centos" in Volume group I want to have pre-filled values by me. Do you know where these default values are stored in ISO?

I don't know where the defaults are stored but should be somewhere in the source

Bro stop sending top level links . Of course, I can download the whole Anaconda project (and I already did a few weeks ago) and look into the source code. But I was hoping for saving my time by somebody who will know and answer me . In the source code, it may be found in 5 minutes, but it could take day or two.

Yep, so specifying KS file during install will work for this.
