Can't ping/connect to network share from VPN tunnel

Hi,

so i am using centos 7 as a file server. It is on a subnet of 192.168.1.x. every machine on that subnet can ping and connect to the file server. I have a another subnet set up as 192.168.2.x. there is a gateway to gateway VPN set up between the 2. from a windows machine A (192.168.2.45) to windows machine (192.168.1.103) i can ping and connect fine as long as firewall is off. from windows machine A i can not ping or connect to my file server (192.168.1.32). file server has set selinux=disable and still get host not found.

any help would be appreciated

Hmm.. how did you define those addresses as gateways inside their network segments? Did you modify the routing tables to accommodate the non-standard addressing ? Did you enable ip forwarding?

It sounds like, you have a "pipe" between the two networks (your VPN) which works without issue however you need to route packets to the head of the pipe in one network to get them across to the other network. Similarly, in the second network, the packets from the first network will have to 'find their way home' at some point, they'll need a default route to the target network via the gateway (192.168.1.103 i.e the pipe head) as well.
