try it with this:

on a side note I think the main problem was the naming of the config file copied to ~/rpmbuild/SOURCES/. The wiki copies the .config to ~/rpmbuild/BUILD/kernel-*/linux-*/configs/kernel-{version number}-x86_64.config which is then copied to ~/rpmbuild/SOURCES/,

instead coping the .config directly as ~/rpmbuild/SOURCES/kernel-x86_64.config
