8.2: Load kernel module with parameters during boot

Hello,

I used the procedure in:
https://access.redhat.com/documentat...ing-the-kernel

According to 3.11 the file:
/etc/modules-load.d/extra.conf

Should contain a list of modules that must be loaded at system boot time.

My kernel module is called: Fio.ko
So the contents of extra.conf is:
Fio

What should I write if my module requires a parameter ?
with insmod:
insmod Fio.ko sBufferSize=0x2000000

Thank you,
Zvika

To set param=value, add to the kernel commandline Fio.param=value

Have you checked any of your MANY previous threads about this mystery kernel module???

You have repeated refused to provide information about this custom embedded hardware, what you're writing and for what device. You have been working on this for YEARS at this point. If you're saying you're a kernel developer and don't know how to load a kernel module or compile it into your existing kernel, I find that very hard to believe...especially since you've been working on kernel modules for TEN YEARS.

Agreed, but the OP rarely ever acknowledges things. Have tried for YEARS to get any answers about what they're doing, but I'm always perplexed by someone who has a 'team', developing custom embedded hardware and writing kernel modules....who can't (somehow) perform the basics of such things.
