The vivaldi site https://vivaldi.com/download/ provides a deb package.

Thanks - i saw that but wasn't sure what to do belive it or not. and also did not want to run into any issues in the future with updating it too.

i did find a page with some commands but wasn't sure because of the explanation. seemed a bit sketchy. thanks Hazel!

Hazel - ok i installed it and also removed it - I too think there is way too many things to setup and tweak and for me - KISS. that was one of the bad things years ago i did not like about firefox. way too cluttered for me. Thanks for everything and at least i used gdebi for the first time too which worked.

I am actually a guy that uses several browsers (LOL) on all of my PCs. I use Pale Moon, otter, and vivaldi on my Win 10 box. On the bodhi install,
I actually use midori, falkon, and firefox. Vivaldi is kinda bloated and not as mean and lean as they claim, but I happen to believe that NO browser
works as claimed. I once tried Chrome for awhile and watched it become a sluggish, bloated mess in no time. So I stay away from chrome period
(not very trusting of google, anyway - have mentioned elsewhere). Sometimes using a particular browser for a certain site or type of info can be
better (I use midori for linuxquestions.org only and firefox for askubuntu for the most part). Hope this is helpful even tho i realize it is kinda a ramble.

Craig
