why need remove 3 lines to netboot Bodhi linux using iPXE?
hi, how do you netboot Bodhi linux using iPXE?
recently I trid to boot Bodhi linux using iPXE:
Code:
kernel vmlinuz boot=casper live-media-path=var
initrd initrd.lz filesystem.squashfs
boot
everytime it told me this error:
Code:
(initramfs) Unable to find a medium containing a live file system
https://s2.ax1x.com/2020/01/16/lx8wjO.png
by chance,
I press Enter and ls /var, and I can see the filesystem.squashfs is there.
and then type "exit" , it suddenly continued to boot, and boot into mokasa desktop successfully

I want to boot without typing "exit",
after some search, I found that in script /scripts/casper,
it'd panic if finding no livefs_root:
/scripts/casper line 722 :
Code:
if [ -z "${livefs_root}" ]; then
panic "Unable to find a medium containing a live file system"
fi
but, actually the livefs_root filesystem.squashfs is in /var, and no need to panic.
after removing these 3 lines, I can boot into desktop using iPXE without typing 'exit' mannually.
how to do iPXE netbooging without removing these 3 lines? any special kernel parameter?
