BL5 Lock screen password authenticates indefinitely.

Hi.

Yesterday I upgraded my work computer to BL5 (previously used 4.3).

Installation went well and I now have it set up pretty much as my old system with all applications and files as I want them.

I set up screen locking with: lock on startup, Lock on suspend and lock when idle time exceeds 10 min.

This morning when I tried to log in to my computer, the "standard" user name/password login worked fine but ofc sent me to lock screen for password. After entering the password; the lock screen just keeps on "authenticating" indefinitely, no timeout, no unlock. I entered the correct password (tried several times, several reboots) same result.
I also tried using an incorrect password. This gave me the expected "The password you entered is invalid. Try again" message.

Is there some way I can get around this (terminal; remove some cfg file or some such) so I don't have to reinstall? EDIT: I realize I could just rm or mv the .e folder but that would mean having to reconfigure everything. Marginally better than reinstalling.

Thx

Are you sure, the caps lock is not enabled?

I remember having an issue like this once on BL4.5 and I was able to fix it by entering a wrong password,
waiting for the authentication, which of course was negative, and then entering the right password again.

Not sure, if this is a solution for you.
