My Linux CV Part 5 (Final) I start to use it

So I have now been using linux for about three years, and recently moved to Slackware, which after trying many, seems to suit me. I am still very mediocre, and the learning has been very slow.
A key realisation I had was that you can practically do anything with Linux and related software, once you have the appropriately structured knowledge. That's both good and bad, and furthermore is a sure indicator of very time consuming activity. And that it is.
I have to write a piece about motivation, because it's involved with everything we do. What motivates me to keep using linux? Microsoft hate? Ehem, no. I worry about Microsoft, but they have some great things too. Maybe it's a personal characteristic, but I have a basic need to troubleshoot. Once I have something not working, I immediately get on its case and don't rest until it gets solved. Linux is a haven for that sort of thing (if you want it :-D!)
It's a huge time drain. But it's also like a drug. A borderline legal drug. I smoke, but I don't inhale, your honour.
