New(ish) Laptop :s

Ok, dealing with that latitude, trying to get the dvd rom working under windows (xp) have been futile. Windows says there are no drivers (even though I can navigate right to where they are) and won't let me install any. On a hunch I made a bootable Puppy Linux ISO on a thumb drive and booted from it. The DVD ROM works fine! So now I have to decide what Linux distro I want to put on that laptop. I ordered a power supply for it and one for the Inspiron and they should be here by close of business on Tuesday. A+ type work can be fun, but it can also make you want rum. LOTS of rum.
