I didn't know I had one 'till I got an email this morning telling me I did. Cool!
So, I'm an XP refugee, having left the windows pain when they dropped support in May 2014. I got myself a new Linux machine from System 76 with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS installed on it and haven't looked back since.
Yes, there was/is a learning curve for me but I'm very happy with my computer now. I'm learning stuff! I like that. I'm starting to write scripts in the BASH shell. I really want to get BASH down before I move on to Python.
I'm a 62 year old married male, likes long walks on the beach, and learning to use my computer. It's not just the most expensive solitaire game I've ever bought. It's not just clicking on icons.
I'm using rsync for my backups to an external hard drive. Really glad I started doing that, just before my internal drive took a dump on me and I had to replace it. I got lucky on that one I tell you. Whew!
