Welcome,
Interoperability, getting things that are mainstream on other platforms to work on Linux platforms
Like media, devices, software applications, networking tools.
Please post anything that currently does not work or that you want to work better on a Linux platform.
Please post anything you think that already does that deserves a mention or more attention.
I will do the same.
Thanks,
pereznet

PCLinuxOS and DSL testing update

PClinuxOS
Wireless G PCI card did install and works fine
I made a newbie mistake, corrected, work great
Again you need at least a P4 system or newer for
PCLinuxOS, but I will try the MiniME version
on my older systems
Damn Small Linux
last posted excellent results from testing DSL LIVECD
on a PIII Dell 4000 Laptop
I recently did a LIVECD run and install on an old
PII NEC workstation, installed the Wireless G PCI
card and everything worked flawlessly
Internet browsing and web apps worked great
Only real difference is the having to set BACK-UP of
User data
Since DSL is minimalist distro, no WINE/JAVAtesting
Next I will be testing
DreamLinux, and lining up other Internet-ready,
Internet-only distros
looking for a good Linux Server
to netboot PC's and use local HDD for user data only
keeping you posted
