These are my notes. I moved them so I don't have to maintain a blog server just for them. They may not be at all useful for anyone else.

Simpler as wheezy approaches stable.
Install Wheezy with LXDE and ssh server
Enable contrib and non-free
Follow the entry to get the machine onto the skolelinux nw.
aptitude install ibus-anthy scratch lmms kdegraphics kdeedu inkscape scribus-ng gvrng drpython freemind ttf-mscorefonts-installer ttf-larabie-deco ttf-vlgothic escputil vlc gcompris dia vym kcalc kdenlive python-easygui chromium flashplugin-nonfree bluefish audacity icedtea-plugin ntp
new: Jan 2013 NFS share from tjener is not being mounted on boot, so no-one can log in. This is something to do with network manager, so get rid of it:
aptitude remove network-manager network-manager-gnome
dpkg-reconfigure locales
uses <6G, so OK for 8G netbooks
still no kompozer, but last time we used it it messed up external stylesheets. Need an alternative that can do wysiwyg and html/css for different age levels.
chromium for little kids' iceweasel already running error.
