Partioning

Now i have a solution and a problem at hand . i hv made the cd but do not know how to partion the disk. what do i do?

    Most distro cds will make a default partition where they take about half of the hd space if you have one other distro. If it is a large distro (ubuntu, suse, fedora) with a lot of programs in their repositories and eye candy than I recommend no less than 12 gig min space for your partition.

    I recommend if you have a secondary hdd in your computer, you disconnect it before installing Linux in your primary drive because, Ubuntu, repartitioned one of mine for no reason that I can fathom.
