Comming soon to the HCL...

...will be an entry on compatability between Slackware 10.2 and an HP Pavilion zd8000-series laptop. The post will represent compatability with a default full install, before any tweaking. I guess I see the HCL as an indicator of the inherent {sp?} ability of the laptop and the OS to cooperate. If entries are editable, I might add as an Endnote what, if anything, I had to do to get whatever to work. Also improtant for anything networking-related, though, is that I'm on a dorm network, and this network will not allow the same MAC address to use the network with more than one OS (in a given school year, anyway, since student computers must all re-register each fall semester,) so right away I will be having to spoof the MAC address of this laptop to make it connect. (A friend's boyfriend is helping with that, and I'll post the nitty-gritty here and on my real blog. (http://jesusfreak.blogspot.com is the publicly-readable one.)

I should get back to my homework.
