Barcelona

Posted 04-18-2006 at 05:51 AM by geletine

I went to Barcelona for a long weekend, a strange phrase "long weekend" that somehow lingers on in the english language, so whats a short weekend ? Barcelona has a pretty port where an aquarium has been built, and of course a big commericial center. Antoni Gaudí architecture is the biggest attraction of the city, his buildings are something not seen in my neigbourhood. I believe he also designed La Sagrada Família which is a cathedral still under development as well as the buildings in the Palau Güell, which is where Gaudi lived.
I stayed in a hotel situated near la rambla, which at night is full of diffrent acts, from native americain music through to gymnastics, including people dressed in historic constumes. I picked up a cd from the native americain band, which is very nice to ears..Its a pleasure to hear something diffrent than pop, rock, rap, jazz and the usual urban themes.

My brother has a camping shop very close to london, england that has a wide selection of travelling goods. His website can be found at http://danscamping.com/ .

On a linux note :I don't if it just me that the 2.6.16.x tree is moving too fast...well its on 2.6.16.7 and only last week it was 2.6.16.2.. perhaps alot of new features have needed alot of bug and security fixes.
