In Between Times
I am studying some other (existing) languages now. I studied the BASIC language. Now I'm studying Visual Basic. I am studying these for a few reasons:
1) To increase my programming capability.
2) To prepare to add new features to my languages.
3) To better prepare myself for writing PNF and associated languages.
The first reason is serving it's purpose. The second reason will probably take another pass at the books to see what features those other languages have in them. Then I will take the best of all of the languages for my language that I'm developing, while staying true to what is already there that I already like. My lowest level (PNF), will probably become a true object oriented language over time. The kind that C++ is, not the kind that Java is. I realized there is some more to tackle too, such as arrays within arrays and everything like that.
The third reason will start to take shape when I read my books on compilers and everything.
