Probability

Posted 06-16-2008 at 03:34 PM by Chargh

It has been awhile since I have posted anything here. I am happy to say that Gambas 2 is included in the Fedora 9 Repository, and I am pretty happy with the release (No more Separate Windows). I have been messing around with Probability code, and it is pretty interesting. I have built a Gambling game, and I am currently working on a Combat Game. There are two players, and the objective is to defeat the other player in battle. Every time you attack the other player the computer picks a random number (Currently from One to Ten) and decides whether you win or lose based on the result. If you win the battle the enemy's Health goes down and you gain Gold, which can be used to buy Healing to help your player. If your attack fails your health goes down and your enemy gains Gold. Player One can heal himself with less Gold than Player Two, but Player Two has a stronger attack (When Successful). This has not actually been implemented yet, but I am going to allow you to upgrade the players to different Classes. The higher the class you are in the more likely you are to win a battle. This code on it's self is pretty cool, but it's real future will be in larger Projects (Maybe even Free Empires). I will post a download link when I am finished.
