SSH remote control fedora 14.

Key point---enable ssh, samba services in firewall settings.
And basicly don't forget to start ssh service also.

Setup bcm4311 wireless on Fedora 14.

Got to know my wireless card is broadcom bcm4311.
This kind of card can be supported by Fedora 14.

How do I know? Please see below:
system->preferences->network connections->add wireless......

Setup samba server on Fedora 14.

0.Install samba
for samba is not installed in fedora 14 default option.
Code:
yum install samba
and don't forget to start smb service.

1.Disable SELinux
SELinux is a security extension of Fedora that should provide extended security. In my opinion you don't need it to configure a secure system, and it usually causes more problems than advantages (think of it after you have done a week of trouble-shooting because some service wasn't working as...

Init command can use following options:
# 0 - halt (Do NOT set initdefault to this)
# 1 - Single user mode
# 2 - Multiuser, without NFS (The same as 3, if you do not have networking)
# 3 - Full multiuser mode
# 4 - unused
# 5 - X11
# 6 - reboot (Do NOT set initdefault to this)

Install Chinese input in Fedora 14.

  1. Select System-> Preferences > Input Method
  2. Enable input method feature
  3. Select input item: Use IBus
  4. Click Input method Preferences
  5. In the Input-Method tab and add the Chinese input method
  6. Click close
  7. Reboot, then choose "pinyin" from the ibus icon.
