compiling linux kernel

i need to compile linux kernel 2.6.16 with ntfs supportive how can i do this ...??

    this is very easy

    I'll give u the steps

    cd /usr/src/linux
    make menuconfig

    File systems ---> Network File Systems ---> [*] NFS file system support [*] Provide NFSv3 client support [*] Provide NFSv4 client support (EXPERIMENTAL)[*] NFS server support [*] Provide NFSv3 server support[*] Provide NFSv4 server support (EXPERIMENTAL)

    SAVE

    make && make modules_install
    cp -v arch/i386/boot/bzImage /boot/<WHAT EVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT>

    then

    nano -w /boot/grub/grub.conf

    and add the new kernel
    or if u use lilo

    nano -w /etc/lilo.conf
    lilo
