UEFI and efibootmgr help

I am new to arch and got everything to the point of booting.

I have UEFI and like to use efibootmgr

I have the /dev/sdb1 partition vfat EFI

/dev/sdb2 root system

I made dir /boot/EFI and mounted it to /dev/sdb1

I copied vmlinuz-linux from /boot to /boot/EFI/vmlinuz-linux.efi

ran the following command:

Code:
efibootmgr --disk /dev/sdb --part 1 --create --label "Arch Linux" --loader'\EFI\vmlinuz-linux.efi' --u "initrd=\\intel-ucode.img initrd=\\initramfs-linux.img root=/dev/sdb2 rw" --verbose
It doesn't boot into system

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

It's not the kernel that you must put in /boot/EFI but a bootloader

I think solved it boot ctl install and configured it. efibootmgr I thought was a boot loader no? When I had LFS this is what I used.

No, efibootmgr enable to set up the UEFI boot manager like you would do directly on the HMI of this one, but you need an OS loader. If you look what has been done now, you may find a grub.efi or something like that in /boot/EFI
