Unhappy Isc Dhcp Server On Aix 5.2

Hi,
I am trying to get the dhcp server to work on an AIX 5.2 machine and give an address to another AIX 5.2 machine running the in-built dhcp client (dhcpcd).

The server seems to run fine.

When I run dhcpd -d -f, I get :

Internet Systems Consortium DHCP Server V3.0.3
Copyright 2004-2005 Internet Systems Consortium.
All rights reserved.
For info, please visit http://www.isc.org/sw/dhcp/
Wrote 0 leases to leases file.
Listening on Socket/en0/192.168.0/24
Sending on Socket/en0/192.168.0/24
DHCPDISCOVER from 00:09:xx:xx:xx:c6 via en0
DHCPOFFER on 192.168.0.200 to 00:09:xx:xx:xx:c6(NIM03) via en0
DHCPDISCOVER from 00:09:xx:xx:xx:c6 (NIM03) via en0
DHCPOFFER on 192.168.0.200 to 00:09:xx:xx:xx:c6(NIM03) via en0
which continues endlessly

On the client , this is what I get from the dhcpcd.log file
INFO: ..............readLeaseRecords:Configuration file is nwer than lease file
INFO: .............probeIfs: client needs fresh lease
TRACE:.........probeIfStatus: [ifconfig en0 delete > /dev/null 2> /dev/null]

the last four lines are then continuously repeated until I stop the daemon.

Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Also how do I turn logging on, on the server so that I can see more of what it is trying to do?
