topas

The built-in command "topas" is executable by anyone on the system by default. It displays a lot of useful information, including memory allocations.

Other commands useful for checking system attributes is lsattr. Much information is in the output of "lsattr -El sys0"

Then there's the dreaded vmstat, sar, etc.
Sometimes it's tough to tell how much memory is "free" because depending on the command you use, it could include filesystem buffer cache as "used" memory, even though it gives most of it back if needed on demand.
