Can I tunnel X11 aps from an AIX (5.2) box to my linux workstation?

This would be handy on remote GUI installs of WAS, IBMHTTP, MQ, etc... We don't connect monitors to our AIX boxes by default. I know I can VNC, but I feel that's a bit like cheating - I'd rather connect in a way that window users can't(!)

I don't see a reason why you couldn't.
I used to display Solaris on XFree86/Cygwin using XDMCP! So a simple remote X display should be even more easy.

In an AIX telnet session, DISPLAY=mylinux:0.0, export DISPLAY.
And the output of your graphical applications should go to your Linux box, test it with xterm or oclock.
(of course, xhost + myAIX in order to allow this).
