AIX 5.2 install on RS/6000 140 Pseries

Hi, guys

I want to install AIX 5.2 on RS/6000 Model 140 pSeries, but installation CD stuck on "F4D" ( this is shows on LCD), Any one know how to install on the 43p ...Urgent...Urgent

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

5.2 won't run on a 43P. The closest you can get is 5.1. I've tried it before and ran into the same problem as you. It comes from 5.2 not supporting the PowerPC architecture.

bad luck ! It seems that some powerpc systems (like 7043) accept AIX 5.2.
By the way, Intianjum, you have a single non-partitionned system, so most of the things you would like to do should work the same way with AIX5.1, isn't it ?
