How to append additional options to LILO when you are unable to boot

Interesting question, which has been asked on the 4MLinux blog recently:
http://4mlinux.blogspot.com/2013/01/...62902406156956

I am posting this link in case somebody else needs (seeks for) this piece of information.

Post Useless post

There's nothing new nor surprising in this. It's a well know way to solve the problem, nothing revolutionary...

Oops! Please accept my apologies. I didn't know that the words new, surprising and revolutionary were the synonyms of the word interesting.

Thanks for your revolution in 4MLinux!

Post Forum usage

We won't put a thread for each GNU/Linux possible issue. There are lots of other places for this.

Please notice the following:
1) I've posted the link to the question asked by a newbie. So it should be rather obvious that it is nothing revolutionary.
2) I am the author of 4MLinux and all its documentation. Be so kind to let me to decide what is worth adding to the 4MLinux know-how (by posting a link on the official 4MLinux forum).

Thumbs down A forum isn't the right tool

Perhaps that you should use another tool, like a FAQ on a Website, a wiki... a forum isn't made to write documentation, every one you put is polluting my view of new threads on LQ forums.

So the tools exist, why are you using this forum in the wrong way?

Unfortunately, it looks that I am unable to explain why the official 4MLinux support forum is the right place for the questions asked by 4MLinux users. Therefore it would be a waste of your valuable time to continue this discussion.
