Desktop Environment of the Year
If you're looking for Fluxbox, Window Maker or similar options - they are in the Window Manager of the Year poll.

How about DWM, one of DWM's derivatives, or just none?
I cannot vote for any of these desktops, as I do not use any of them.
If I am forced to use a desktop, I'd rather use XFCE. Although XFCE is installed here, it is never used as I use DWM or console explicitly!
So to make this category more old-fart dedicated Linux user friendly, the following catagories should be added:
1) DWM or DWM derivative (for us great minimalists)
2) None (for those that explicitly avoid X/Xorg/Wayland, ...)

I'm still using Unity under Ubuntu, because it allows me to create folders (like on the desktop), move files between folders, drag files/folders to a usb drive and drop and actually have it copy (and vice versa back to copy folders/files on the desktop from a usb drive), etc....
Ubuntu's default desktop, Gnome, simply isn't robust to me. Can anyone suggest a Linux distro that has the robust file/folders GUI I like ???

I agree that Moksha is indeed a nice bit of work.
I tend to lean towards KDE I do like Plasma, but the tipping point for me is that I prefer many native KDE applications (konsole, kate, gwenview, okular, and the like) to those native to other DEs. But I usually find myself using them under Fluxbox, because I really like Fluxbox's simplicity and configurability.

Do you think Moksha desktop (or Bodhi or Enlightenment) is what I'm looking for, in the previous post I made in this thread.
In addition to a robust GUI desktop environment. I want to be able to manipulate folders and files much like you can do in Mac OS (or Windows) - which includes simple things like being able to move folders around on the desktop and drop them and place them where you want them on your desktop.
I'm sorry, but many Linux desktop GUI "environments" feel like using an iPhone to me. The icons are automatically placed where they want to go on the desktop (if moved to the desktop), etc.... With the standard installation of Ubuntu (Gnome?), I know that the developers of it purposely stated they don't want people cluttering up their own desktop (which to me is like taking away freedom)...
