I wish I could vote in this poll, but I would have to admit that Android significantly failed to impress me so far.. I'd go with iOS anytime right now. With Android ICS we'll see what it does when Motorola release the update for my Razr..

Hello,

Installed CyanogenMod on my HTC Desire and it rocks!

Kind regards,

Unless there's something to CyanogenMod that I've missed, how can it be an alternative to Android? It's a custom ROM for Android is it not?

Will we add different linux kernel builds to the favourite distribution / favourite DE polls?

Correct in some ways. Cyanogen Mod is a "fork" of the Android Source. It's like comparing Ubuntu to vanilla Linux and the vanilla application sources (all default values, no patches, etc).

I went for webOS based purely on its potential. With Android increasingly mired in patent madness, webOS could easily become the choice for many handset manufacturers. Plus, my one encounter with an HP Touchpad showed just how good webOS is technically.

I would have to go with Android since I know little about the other choices.

CyanogenMod is great. Reminds me of the likes of XBMC.
