FreeBSD 5.4 install from a hard drive partition

I have been having issues with my CD burner and I am not positive that CDs are being burnt 100% correctly. Is it possible to set up a hard drive partition and install from there as opposed to using the CDs? If so, how do I go about doing this? Thanks.

hard drive installation

It is possible to perform a hard drive installation. In the first place you've got to download the floppy images from the freebsd site and boot your box with them , then the installation menu will ask you the installation source, in this case it's going to be a DOS-windows partition.

Where files do I need to put in that DOS partition?
Well the best option would be to download the 2 freebsd iso images and then extract them (you can use third party software like winISO) to any windows partition.
