sshd is borked

for like 2 weeks now sshd has been messed up so I am going to try to get it fixed.

I need to know what to tell the dc so they can fix it but I try to ssh it with putty and it just closes but if I ssh it from my linux box here here is what it does.

Code:
zac@tiger zac $ ssh site.com
zac@site.com's password:
Connection closed by *.*.*.*
zac@tiger zac $
so...... its not a problem with the shell the user has, I am really not sure what is wrong.

what steps should I tell the dc to do , so that they can upgrade sshd.

thanks.

Tell them sshd is broken... that's just weird!

If its really more like 10 days or so they might have messed something up while patching it... also, you might want to run, from the Linux box:

ssh user@site.com -v

That'll spew some verbose output to your term that might be of assistance.

Cheers,

Finegan
