Recommend good, easy to setup, hopefully graphical FtpServer.

I need to get an ftp going on my laptop. I installed Pure-ftpd and its insanely hard to understand and its instructions are hard to follow. Also its pure-admin front end is not even close to working.

Can you guys recommend something. Thanks.

well proftpd is probably one of the more popular ftp servers out there .
and MasterC has wrote an article on how to set it up in the Answers
Section, located below...
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ticle&artid=17

and there is a GUI for it called GProFTPD, also located below ....
http://mange.dynup.net/linux.html

personally i have never used it cause i thought it was simplistic
enough just by use command line, but there ya have it if you wanna
give it a go ...

Hi

Has anyone got GProFTPD to work in FreeBSD 4.10? Tried installing it, but getting errors when compliling the code. crypt.h and then stdin.h not found.

All other programs compile fine.

Getting a FTP server running without the command line is turning into a nightmare. I'm so close to installing Windows 98 with a FTP server. Would be up and running in 30-40 minutes.

Thanks.

ZB
