When I try to run portupgrade -ra I keep on getting "portupgrade:command not found". I did a make install clean for portupgrade. What am I doing wrong?
Maybe you can try putting the full path to portupgrade, mine is /usr/local/sbin/portupgrade. You can try using locate to find where your portupgrade is installed. Also, are you really sure that portupgrade installed correctly?
If I go /usr/local/sbin/ I see a portupgradge file. I tried locate but said my database was too small. I installed through ports and didnt see any error messages during the install.
Okay, if you see it in /usr/local/sbin, did you try running it from the command line with the full path? Also, to fix the locate, run the command "periodic weekly", and that will fix the database.
install portupgrade from ports
cd /usr/ports/
make search name=portupgrade
cd /usr/ports/response/portupgrade
make install clean
rehash
which portupgrade
portupgrade -rRa
i suppose you've already run cvsup to use portupgrade....
