NetBSD XEN a good virtualization host?

Hello everyone.

I recently got a nice (older) server from a friend. An i7 quad core. I'm going to max the RAM at 24 GB. And setup a few Terra byte drives. I was also thinking of using ZFS on the hard drives.

The real question I have is will this hardware running NetBSD and XEN be a good host for supporting virtual guest OS? I'm looking at having Server 2012 or newer, a linux web server and likely either SMB or NextCloud storage for home use.

Another question I had and couldn't find any answers within the last 18 months is, does NetBSD support kernel isolation, like containers or jails? I haven't had much experience with them and just in case of a hacking, have said VMs isolated to keep them safe.

Is anyone able to give be some guidance on this?
Thanks.
