Memory Allocation Failure-OpenBSD-Pan
I'm running OpenBSD 3.7 on an Acer 291XCi. When running Pan from ports and downloading a large amount of headers from a Usenet group the program dies and prints:
"GLib-ERROR **: gmem.c:140: failed to allocate 4703605 bytes
aborting...
Abort trap (core dumped)"
Using slrn I also get a memory allocation failure. I am definately not running out of RAM (only between 1/4 and 1/3 used of 512M) and 768 swap. I have looked at my ulimit output but am not sure what I need to change.
Here is my ulimit output
$ ulimit -a
time(cpu-seconds) unlimited
file(blocks) unlimited
coredump(blocks) unlimited
data(kbytes) 76800
stack(kbytes) 4096
lockedmem(kbytes) 152106
memory(kbytes) 455032
nofiles(descriptors) 64
processes 64
$ ulimit -Ha
time(cpu-seconds) unlimited
file(blocks) unlimited
coredump(blocks) unlimited
data(kbytes) 262144
stack(kbytes) 32768
lockedmem(kbytes) 456320
memory(kbytes) 456320
nofiles(descriptors) 1024
processes 128
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
