Installing mate DT on pcbsd 9.1


Hi

I,m new to using pcbsd I would like some help installing Mate DT. I have asked in pcbsd forums and was given a link
https://github.com/jlmess77/mate-ports

I,m having trouble installing the git part.
Or if someone knows a better way to get mate.

I, personally, don't know of any official support (official MATE that is) for BSD. If I were you I would ask the MATE development team about this as some of them may have an answer.
