FreeBSD7: More information, in better detail, of attached storage drives, than fdisk

FreeBSD Fdisk doesn't tell like at all useful information about an HDD which would help to troubleshoot why I can't mount the drive. I KNOW the drive is formatted with EXT2, it worked day ago. Now mount just says it can't mount. Fdisk says

Code:
The data for partition 1 is:
sysid 165 (0xa5),(FreeBSD/NetBSD/386BSD)
.

Useless information.

Indeed.

What have you tried, exactly? What error messages did you see, exactly?
