I have recently decided to switch from Ubuntu Linux to FreeBSD for many reasons. However atm I do not have any cds and would like to just install it tonight so is there anyway I can burn the two FreeBSD 6.2 cds to one DVD. The second one mainly looked like just a bunch of packages.
You can get DesktopBSD in a DVD. It's basically FreeBSD with a modified installation procedure. Once you have DesktopBSD up and running, it's pretty much FreeBSD underneath.
Just remember to put the install disk first and everything should be fine. I have never tried this myself. When I install FreeBSD on a system I just burn the bootonly and then pull everything down through the network.
