FreeBSD-5.4 and KDE-3.4.1

Hi, guys
I have problem installing KDE-3.4.1
so...
I've compiled qt-x11-free-3.3.4
and then I tried to compile aRts-3.4.1 but the configure script returns this:
Code:
You're missing libaudiofile. aRts won't be able to load or play
any samples without it, so please install it.
Have a look at http://www.68k.org/~michael/audiofile/ or find a
binary package for your platform.
This is not na error, it creats the files and then tells me this
so I got libaudiofile from the ports collection but when I rerun the configure script I got the same message...
Can anyone help me, please!

thank you!

No, I'm not.
I'm compiling everything by hand.
