FreeBSD 4.10 Released

I will try this out on one of my spare boxes, and leave feedback. Should be a great release.

The release announcement can be found right here

A brief example of some of the changes:
USB2.0 support
some network and storage driver tweaks/additions
ability to export console over FireWire
version bumps to BIND, OpenSSL, and Sendmail
various security fixes

See the release notes and errata for more info.

There isn't much to be said about it, as it appears perfect

Just another example of how stable, reliable, and advanced FreeBSD is -- even though I just installed it to run a distributed.net client, I don't think I will have any troubles with it bug wise. I'm looking forward to the upcoming 5.3 Release, when the FreeBSD should confirm that most users should be able to safely switch to the 5.x tree. Soon after we'll probably see 5-Stable happening.

I was tracking stable and didn't notice that the version number changed until a week after the event. Nothing much to say... very nice.

I just upgraded to 5.2.1 last night but the 10 days I ran it were great.
