I have strange trouble - only with BETA2 - one per recording to USB i can normally
start boot and work, both "BIOS LEGACY" and "UEFI" mode.
First boot is normally and work.
After reboot, and boot from USB flash again, can see freezed slash " / " or slowly at end of boot text in random roll position, must poweroff hardware. After once again recording to flash, boot normally.
Code:
Setting currdev to disk0p1:
/

FreeBSD 13.0-RC4
Due to some critical bugs, an unscheduled fourth release candidate for the upcoming FreeBSD 13.0 has been made available for another round of testing. As a result, the final release of FreeBSD 13.0 has been pushed back to 6 April. "The fourth RC build of the 13.0-RELEASE release cycle is now available. A summary of changes since 13.0-RC3 includes: a fix affecting scripted installations has been addressed; several POWERPC fixes have been included; a memory leak in NETMAP_REQ_PORT_INFO_GET has been fixed; an issue with local-unbound and some IPv6 deployment has been fixed; historical output range from random(9) has been restored to previous behavior; OpenSSL has been updated to version 1.1.1k; a fix for validation of RDNSS options has been addressed; other miscellaneous items have been addressed. A list of changes since 12.2-RELEASE is available in the releng/13.0 release notes. Please note, the release notes page is not yet complete, and will be updated on an ongoing basis as the 13.0-RELEASE cycle progresses." https://distrowatch.com/11199

I was return for testing FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE and have nice experience for classic FreeBSD.
Try to make pkg's from ports - is very good !
I was think what true FreeBSD is to up FreeBSD 10.
May be i let return to this question later.
I'm still using FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE-p6. I haven't had any problems at all and waiting till it goes 13.1-RELEASE to change over.
I'm not going to change my tutorial as far as ports using Git are concerned until it appears in the RELEASE version of the base system. The old portsnap method still functions as was intended at release so there is no point in changing it now.
That way I stay current on the version as it is downloaded with minimal editing on my part.
