I need some kind of HOWTO to configure ADSL using PPPoA on a standalone NetBSD 1.6.2_STABLE machine in order to connect to the internet. My Speedtouch modem is synchronized and up but I can't ping out. The modem is on ugen0 and uses tun0 as an interface. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Andrew. I think the modem is set up and working OK. My problem is I can't find a definitive statement of what else is required to connect. I have /etc/resolv.conf with 2 nameservers, I have a /etc/rc.d/ifconfig.tun0 file but what else do I need? The one thing I'm not sure of is whether I need some kind of default (gateway) route set up if my PC is standalone. I think I need a 'general' HOWTO on internet connection because the way I connected before was through another box using DHCP, and also with ADSL but on Mandrake 9.2 which doesn't teach you a lot about 'how to'. TIA for any further help.

Reinstalled system, added relevant packages, configured files - it works. Must have messed things up tweaking when it wasn't necessary.
