Bind9 : No text file "A record" but it can be resolved"

Hello Dear,

I have installed bind9 on openbsd version 4, everything is running normally, but there is a slight problem.

My previous config "A Record" for the domain blogs

"blogs IN A 192.168.54.2"

Everything is running normally, and I can resolve ip blogs and already leading to the destination ip.

The problem is when I delete the text "blogs IN A 192.168.54.2" domain can still be resolved, I have been looking for files that may be double or more, but nothing else.

Anyone ever experienced it? please share, thx.

Hi and welcome to LQ,

After deleting/editing a record, you should increase the serial and reload bind, so it's aware of the changes you've done

Regards

it is standard to do that is to replace the serial and bind reload after editing the file.

whether there is a problem with the cache? how to be clearing the cache ? thx

Hi,

Check /etc/resolv.conf to see if you're using a different nameserver.
To clear the cache, run
Code:
rndc flush
