First and foremost I want to apologize for starting a new thread if this question has been asked before, but if it has I haven't been able to find it.
Anyway, I just installed FreeBSD 6.1, and updated the ports collection to current, I installed Apache22, php5 and mysql5 without a problem, however, when I start apache is say it cannot find libphp5.so, I looked on my system and that module is nowhere to be found. I googled it and some of the options where to run make deinstall and make reinstall, been there, done that, but the problem persist. I also found another person talking about it was some kind of bug in FreeBSD that libphp5.so didn't compile and needed to update the ports collection and reinstall and the problem would have been fixed. But I just upgraded my ports collection, I even did a portupgrade.
Does anybody know where can I find libphp5.so on my system, or if I'm doing anything wrong, please point it out.
I suspect you installed the cgi instead of the module. What you need to do is reinstall php5 by going to /usr/ports/lang/php5, do "make config" and deselect anything to do with the cgi. After that choose to install the apache module and then do "make install clean".
Thanks for your help, but a question arise, how would I know which options in make config are related to the cli version and which one are not? and where can I find the option to install the apache module?
I looked in the config option for php-extentions and nothing there, perhaps I need to do the make config in /usr/ports/lang/php5 and not in the php5-extentions, am I correct on this one?

Thanks a lot for your help,
Have a nice day
If you re-read my post above, you will note that I mentioned that you need to "make config" in /usr/ports/lang/php5. The options are clearly labeled so you will know which are the cgi options and which options enable the module.
Hey man, I just came to work, at down in fornt of the FreeBSD machine, and did as per instructed, not also did I uncheck everything related to cgi in the config menu, but also unchecked the cli option and enable the apache module, it build the module and now I'm working with apache 22 and php5, thanks a lot.
