Hey,
I would like to check out Zorin OS Ten, but I keep running into a couple of problems. Firstly, I have a DVD of ZorinOS 10 Core from 'OSDisc.com' and one I burned myself. Here is the deal and it is on both of them.
I put the disk, it does not matter which one, into the tray close it and reboot. A few moments later and I see the screen giving me the choice to check it out first or install right away. Let's say I want to check it out, so I click on the 'Try' button. My screen goes black, oh there is the sound you get with the Ubuntu line of distros but the screen remains BLACK. This happens whether I am using the disc I burned or the one I got from OSDisc. Nothing I do will move it along an I am compelled to power my PC off from tie Tower. Then restart and remove the disc.
Okay, we move on to the second problem, which as in the first one happens regardless of which disc I use.
I put the disc in and reboot. This time I click on 'Install' I follow it through the full installation process. I get the note that Zorin is installed and for me to reboot and remove the DVD. I reboot and click on Zorin and it starts up, I login. Then I am greeted by the blue 'Zorin' screen and nothing else. There is no bars at either top or bottom, nor is there any icons on the desktop. I have stepped away from the computer for up to seven hours only to see that 'blue' screen.
I rebooted and removed the DVD.
I have a 'Dell Dimension 9100' PC. I have not had this issue with any of the other distros I am currently running on my PC?
I would like to know whether this has happened to anyone using ZorinOS 10 Core? If so, what did you do to get it to work, or were you unable to get it working?
I have on my PC, Manjaro 15.9, PCLinuxOS, Ubuntu 15.10 and Mageia 5.
