Yoper Audioscrobbler Group

there is a Yoper audioscrobbler group now

http://www.audioscrobbler.com/group/Yoper

audioscrobbler tracks what songs you listen to and makes recommendations based on other peoples lists.

amarok 1.2 beta has integrated AS support, so join the group and download amarok 1.2 from amarok.kde.org. it compiles fine BTW, and i dont think well have a beta on apt
anyway. so far, its been stable for me. just make sure you turn off
crossfading with the xine engine. if you want to keep it on, resist all
temptation and leave the resulting error messages alone, if you press ok it
crashes.

Hey nuka_t
I've been getting these errors when compiling software.
When trying to install amarok beta2 I get this error

./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix`

checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking target system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /bin/install -c
checking for -p flag to install... yes
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for gawk... gawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking for kde-config... /usr/bin/kde-config
checking where to install... /usr (as requested)
checking for style of include used by make... GNU
checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.

What am I doing wrong here? I get this on everything not just amarok.
Ive tried as root and Ive tried with ./configure

EKK! That will break alot of dependencies. Kinda worried about having a running system after uninstalling gcc.
Before doing so....will synaptic know what to reinstall.

you can have a running system. just go into syhnaptic, find gcc, RMB it, and select mark for reinstall and hit apply.

It does with GStreamer, and if you use different engine just download a file and open it from AmaroK's "Add media" dialog. Works for me...
