VictorLinux Min Requirements

I know people say VictorLinux is fast and lean... I am using Slackware 10.2 on my server in text mode.

I would like to pick an easy to use and setup desktop version of Linux to go with all my other machines.

I have one laptop with a P1 166 with 82megs of ram, 3gig hard drive. It's ok in text mode but not with KDE or GNOME.

What are the minimum requirements for Desktop Linux with a light X graphical environment?

With a quick look I only found VectorLinux requirements on an order page.
I installed the free download version and was impressed with it.
As a light weight Linux for basic needs it is really good.

My experience is it runs ok on a ThinkPad 380z (p2 233 / 96MB RAM / 4GB) with VL 5.1 and Fluxbox as WM.

Lightweight programs run OK, but opening/using Firefox is a little slow - I have not tested it very extensively yet, but have config'd it for speed.

On another system (Duron 650, 512MB RAM, 15GB), this distro is speedy as hell (installation took about 20 minutes, and these are my very first steps with linux altogether!)

Zl.
